End of a Year

End of a year…always a good time to take a look back and evaluate! It has been a wonderful year of showings, new art endeavors, and new friendships. I am currently reading a book recommended by a friend: “The War of Art” by Steven Pressfield Books never come to me by accident. Halfway done, it has given me pause to reflect on a question that has been wanting to be answered: Where do I go from here?

As if a bell has rung, signaling me to return to my true callings, I have predicted (for mysef) that 2015 is going to be an awesome year. That is not something that is going to just happen to me…it is going to be something that I am going to make happen.

What exactly are “true callings”…for me, they are the experiences that confirm that I am on the path my heart chooses to follow. I feel joy, ease, love…whether it is writing, creating art, being alone, being with others…the calling is to give it my all, and above all give gratitude.

I, like many others, am hoping for a good future for our world. I know that if we each create our own futures by following our hearts, it is going to happen.

Wishing you and yours a happy holiday season, an optimistic beginning to the new year, and a determination to get on the path of your own true callings.
